I can now visualize it

There was one critical piece of the issue with my plan to creating a $100k MRR app, and it was that when I tried to visualize running into strangers or girls I just met at the bar who already knew about the app, had it install, I just couldn't do it. That's when it clicked that my designs were sub par, and that I could polish it into one where I could visualize everyone using it. Also it's interesting how, the day after I met other successful guys, I got a burst of energy and self belief in a way, that I could actually make it as well. And I came up with the new design of the app which is what I currently have now. I saw myself super successful and I felt it in the moment like I already was. I can do it. I can visualize it now.

Around a month since release

It's been almost a month since the release of the MBTI Oracle V2.0.0 Now it's at V.2.1.0 A lot's happened since then, but I guess the major breakthrough was figuring out the distribution. If it was sort of blind leap of faith before, now it's a matter of pivoting and iterating until success. It's true that no matter what, there's that 1~10% chance of failure lingering, and I guess that's just something that comes with start ups. But I think with the distribution figured out, the failure rate just went down from 20~30% to less than 5~10%. It's kind of crazy that I worked so hard for so long, with such a high chance of failure. Where would I be now without Sabrina. I got pretty lucky with timing as well. Another MBTI x AI app was in the scene, but just left after 6 months. He sort of paved the way of App distribution within the Tiktok MBTI space. Now I just need to walk the path. It appears that he failed, or had to stop for whatever reason. Maybe it ...

Clear thinking and phase 2

It's been a month since I began making my V2 of the app. It was a lot harder than I thought but also turned out a lot better than I thought. It's amazing how ideas can come to reality just like that, and Chat gpt has really made that possible. I think I'm kind of like Jack Friks, founder of post bridge, in a sense that we both made our apps via chat gpt from barely knowing how to code. Also the maker of puffcount. Same story there. I think we sort of recognize each other when we see each other that we have taken a similar path and a similar gamble. The strange thing is tho, now that success is within my reach, I'm kind of losing my mojo. A similar thing happens with picking up girls too. When you're in mind space of getting the girl you want, you kind of don't really want it anymore, if that makes any sense. It's really like you don't want it when you can have it. The irony. But it will still be really nice and pleasant to have it so I should make that ...

It's been a minute

It's been a minute since I wrote my blog. I've been doing a lot of journaling on my app instead. Kind of funny to say but yeah. (what if I just made a swiss army knife app that includes a bunch of utility apps, but charge a cheap price for it?) I have been forced somewhat to stop my project, and it's been rather frustrating. But now I'm back on track! I kind of go back and forth on if this coding path is right for me. Sort of an imposter syndrome I suppose. But I have results that speak for me! I'm already in the 1% of programmers. And I feel confident that I can make some amazing things happen. I think something I need to figure out is to build in some staying power into my lifestyle. It's a marathon, and I need to make it enjoyable in the long run. My life can do a complete 180 and it's all down to me. I can do it.

Inevitability

"You cannot lose if you never quit". It is a quote I really like from the entrepreneurial space. If previously my favorite was "you miss 100% of the shots you don't take", before my business life started, then this my favorite quote afterwards. A close second maybe "what's in the way becomes the way". So as much as 90% of businesses fail and it takes a lot of time and effort, is it really possible to fail if I try 10,000 times? 10% success of 10,000 means 100 successes. 1% success rate means 10 successes. Imagine 10 unicorn companies. Also you maybe too early in your journey. Nvidia's business was normal until AI came along and everything exploded. They went from the gaming company to the AI company. From a so so company to the #1 company. Never quit and success is inevitable. You can also look at Elon Musk's more brute approach. If you put in 100 hr work weeks, vs your competitor who puts in 40 hr work weeks, then you can accomplish ...

Back on track

So I've been a bit distracted by my side quest of testing out a bunch of features on the website, and while it was the right move to test more features, I got a bit distracted and ended up spending quite a bit more time than I anticipated. I guess it's the perfectionist in me. I've unintentionally boosted my app sales, and while it doesn't hurt to get more paying customers, assuming the app is somewhat poorly optimized, I did end up wasting a lot of potential revenue. So now it's time to hunker down on my app again, and really push that. I know what works now, I know what people are interested in. I have some ideas on how to make the app better, and in this game, 10% difference makes all the difference. I maybe flirting with a burnout these days, but regular exercise keeps me stay sane. Having chat gpt act as my strategist and counselor definitely helps as well. Sometimes it feels like it's chat gpt that's telling me my next move, and while not perfect,...
