existing vs living

Are you living or existing? What does it mean to live? Is it enough just to stay alive? If that is the case then how are you different from pets that are happy just to eat, shit, and sleep? Or even a bug for that matter? Then yes it is important to be living and not just existing. But how many people actually live a fulfilled life? And what does it mean to be fulfilled? Could one not argue that a dog is quite fulfilled in his life? Protecting his owner and keeping his belly full? But then one could argue that life as a dog in the wild, or more like a wolf, is much more dangerous but also potentially much more fulfilling. You can lead a pack and live as a pack animal, the way dogs were meant to be. Could it be possible that it is the same for humans? One can choose the safety of a domestic life that is safe but less fulfilling, or go out there into the wild and start a company and a movement. The 9 to 5 job is a safe one, much more guaranteed, but also quite limited. From a human's ...

writing habit

I have been away from my wonderful habit of writing every day so here I am back again. Starting a new habit is an interesting thing. I think that when I feel inspired or motivated, I'll just start a bunch of new habits and try to keep up with a bunch until it all fades away. However, I just had an interesting idea. What if I had one habit to rule all habits? For example, I'll sit every Monday down and write down my progress. I'll organize and keep track of the habits I am following. The pattern I see here is that I will stick to the main 2 or 3 habits, while the others kind of fade away. My energy battery is limited so I should question if every habit is really worth it. Right now I have the habit of working out, reading books, and meditating. On the flip side, I also watch a bunch of TV shows and movies, and I sleep very late. I have also ended some terrible habits such as smoking or drinking excessively, and video games. The compound effect is a tremendous thing, and jus...

Visualization

Psycho-cybernetics. I started reading this book due to a recommendation from Sean Lawrence. At first, I thought it had a funny title. But then I started listening to it a bit on audible and realized that this book had the power to change lives, kinda like how atomic habits did for me. I guess if atomic habits is a more hands-on what-to-do type of book, psycho-cybernetics is a more broad book with a broad spectrum of knowledge, although there is a theme. I guess the core idea is that much of what we think of as reality actually stems from our imagination. What a person feels, how he behaves, and how he acts very much depends on his own self-image, which can be quite far from objective reality. So by changing this imaginative part of oneself, anyone can change their reality. It's fascinating to think that what a person thinks about himself can change the life of that person. Most people are ignorant when it comes to the importance of their self-image. But backed by research and logic...

Russian war

Who would have thought I would live through a time when a serious war was happening, between Russia and Ukraine. Russia is a pretty big country after all. I am currently also listening to a youtube video saying that 13% of Germany's energy source comes from Russia. Such global event must have a global economic impact. Yet everyone is going about their lives like everything is normal and there's no big deal. Well I guess the inflation is going crazy and interest rates are hiking. Not to mention a lot of stocks are goign down. The economy is in recession and maybe it's not a good time to do business, but life goes on.
