New Frequency

So I believe that I have come across something of tremendous value. I like to think that I have an eye for spotting value. The first time I came across the secret was with the simple pickup podcast, where they mentioned some stories and concepts from it. Now that I think about it, the fact that they were always making each other laugh so hard and feel good may have been them implementing ideas from the secret as well. Being in high frequency. It actually makes sense in terms of meeting girls as well, how making yourself feel good attracts cute girls, because good vibrations of frequency are attractive. I'm seeing parallels! Actually the day after finishing the book, Kong replied to my message on X (former Twitter). It's actually almost unbelievable that happened. I left a mean joke as a comment to his tweet earlier, and he responded to me for the first time. We actually had a conversation! I had a chance to tell him about how his message impacted and molded the dire...

Reading the secret

Having read halfway through the book, the secret, I have consolidated my understanding of the law of attraction. Lately, as I have been reading a lot of books, I am starting to see a pattern. I would come in contact with scattered shallow knowledge on a subject, usually from social media or YouTube. But as I read a book on the same subject, those knowledge is presented in a more organized, digestable, and deeper form. I increase my pool of knowledge on a subject tenfold, discovering a lot of unknown unknowns. The same phenomenon is happening with the law of attraction. The short bits that I have heard scattered across social media are now being presented in organized chapters, in a way that makes sense. It is being presented in story form. I am actually somewhat surprised because this book contains almost every aspect of the law of attraction, and I have only read half of the book yet! Anyway, I am falling in love with reading books these days. Today while reading, I...

Rebound

I am currently in the process of downsizing my business. However, at the same time, I am preparing for a massive jump soon after. To jump to heights that I have never seen before. I have 2 major strategies. Plans to create a property management business in Seoul, and expand Airbnb in Bali, Dubai, and the US. I think every one of them has great potential for great profits. But I am hoping that eventually, they all converge into a single goal, which is to create a household brand for short-term rentals. It really is about time now to expand to other platforms as well such as virbo and perhaps even booking.com. Patience is a virtue.

Never split the difference

I just finished a book on negotiations. It is a very powerful book. It was even more impactful to me because it forced me to think in a completely new way than I am used to. I am a very logical and calculating person who does not place too much importance on feelings and empathy. However, this book was all about, for the lack of better words, emotional manipulation. And it makes sense. To create the most cooperation out of someone, you need to have good faith with them. I learned how to assertively say no and to disagree without being disagreeable. I learned the importance of digging for information and using that as leverage. How to create rapport with people and use tactical empathy. How to ask calibrated questions. To make the other party feel in control and create the illusion that they came up with the solution, which was your goal all along. These were some powerful tactics that really opened my eyes. These are the tools of women. I see now why men are powerles...

Sapling

So I have been talking to this girl in Belgium for a long time. It was on a whim that I invested so much time talking to her. I guess her being pretty cute helped as well. And I thought it was nice how innocent the interaction was. No need for anything, just a boy and a girl talking. Anyway, after months of talking, I met her again today in a long long time. I suppose things felt a bit awkward for her. I thought it was going pretty good, but she was not really receptive to my flirting attempts. I think she's trying to categorize me as a potential date or friend-zoned buddy, but she's confused as well. Anyway, it is a new experience for me. I suppose the last date I had with the French girl also felt pretty disconnected. I'm starting to see a pattern. Maybe the young girls that I go on dates with are too young and immature for me to have a conversation. I don't really know. Or maybe it was just me getting nervous and acting weird. Either way, I'm not going to obs...

Maelstrom of emotions

I don't exactly know where I went wrong. Perhaps it was going to Bali knowing that I didn't have enough funds. Perhaps it was messing up and buying the wrong flight ticket which made it impossible for me to pay Lawrences monthly due. Or it was just saying fuck it and not paying him at all. Mounting debt. It was easier to just give up on trying to pay that back. It was a loan shark deal to be fair though. I've done a lot of people wrong with money. Lawrence, Karolina, my parents, and my sister. I overpromise and underdeliver. I did go to a great extent with Sean though. For months I've paid half of what I was profiting. Yeah, I don't feel too bad about that one. I know that I am making more money than ever. But it is challenging for me to save up. I do feel decent about paying people and giving them jobs. Also, it provides value for travelers coming to Korea and Bali. It is not all for nothing after all. But I think what pushed me over the line was having no social i...

Primitive grip

When you look at the human brain, you can divide it into two ways. The primitive brain, consisting mostly of instinctive impulses evolved before the second side. This brain is concerned with survival and what works in the here and now. The other side is the logical brain. This evolved after the primitive brain, and it is what makes humans human. This human brain allows us to see further than what is in front of the eyes. This allows us to plan and see the bigger picture. Let's say someone said that if I don't eat the candy in front of me for 30 minutes, he will give me 3 more. The primitive brain will want to eat the candy in front of me. The logical brain will wait 30 minutes and have 3 more candies. And then enjoy the fruits of my patience. However, it is far too easy to get caught up in the primitive impulses. The primitive brain is hardwired into the brain, and in a way, it creates stronger impulses than that of the logical mind. We can get obsessed with what's ...
