Inflection point

I may have hinted at this before, but I truly believe I’ve reached the inflection point of my journey—the moment where everything begins to accelerate. It feels as though I’ve finally aligned with the true entrepreneur’s mindset. I’m about to make one of the biggest level-ups of my career so far, one that could realistically push my revenue up by 50–100%. The crazy part? I’ve been ignoring half the market, all because I was misled by someone I was modeling after. It’s like the Korean saying: “tap on the rocks before you cross the river.” Even giants can miss the obvious. Here’s a guy running an app at $3M/month, and yet he overlooked Android completely. I thought he must be right—until I saw a clone of Cal AI pulling $1M/month on both iOS and Android. That’s when it hit me: I was wrong about Android. It’s not unprofitable—it’s the missing piece. This moment feels like moving into a “new life,” the kind of drastic shift that rivals moving to a new country. As a kid, I...

God, vibes, and ambition

When I asked chat gpt to describe me in 3 words, it basically described me in 1 word: ambition.      It said visionary, relentless, and ambition, something like that, so yeah, just ambitious. But lately I have found church, and when I first went there about 2 weeks ago, I have felt a "nourishment for my spirit", if you will. I felt high vibrations, and feeding something that was starved inside me. While I have been definitely pouring hours into my work lately, for the past year, I have also recently opened my eyes to the world of vibrations and spirituality. I realized that just hard work itself is not enough, and there's a lot of variable that are simply out of my control, out of my reach. I can try my best to optimize my products for the market to buy it, but at the end of the day, it's down to the consumers to actually buy it, and that is technically speaking, not in my control. But then I realized a lot of the world and my life is like that. That ...

only upwards

I feel that I just passed the "death valley" of start ups. I guess there's still a lot to work on, but finally things are looking up and I see a clear path to growth now. It's all been so much more work than I thought, but now that's all about to change. I can finally proudly call myself an entrepreneur, and I am very happy to do so. Also I've seen my new friend Ahmet work like a ceo, and it was pretty cool. I wish I took a better look! But it did indeed seem very busy with meetings and delegations, exactly what I would do if I ran a big team. And that was perhaps a peek into what my life would look like running a $100k MRR business. The day is young and future bright! I feel quite blessed these days and look forward to continuously growing my business!

Iterating to success

Something entrepreneurs talk about but doesn't really hit from reading about it is constantly iterating to success. I dunno, it's kind of like constantly morphing into different shapes, with a kernel of product market fit, until you hit the perfect shape that just works. In practice it's weird, because imagine if your business was changing 30% each time, all the time. Traditional businesses will change 10% over a year maybe. That's a big contrast. And indeed if you look at original versions of twitter, youtube, instagram, it looks very different from what it is today. Still they had that hook that does 80% of heavy lifting, and keeps people hooked. I'm lucky to have that with my MBTI Guesser, and according to data I see here and there, I have PMF. I just need to get a bunch of more downloads. It's frustrating because on surface when I see millions of tiktok views, it should be converting to multiple bands of dollars, but I guess the "hook" is there, s...

I can now visualize it

There was one critical piece of the issue with my plan to creating a $100k MRR app, and it was that when I tried to visualize running into strangers or girls I just met at the bar who already knew about the app, had it install, I just couldn't do it. That's when it clicked that my designs were sub par, and that I could polish it into one where I could visualize everyone using it. Also it's interesting how, the day after I met other successful guys, I got a burst of energy and self belief in a way, that I could actually make it as well. And I came up with the new design of the app which is what I currently have now. I saw myself super successful and I felt it in the moment like I already was. I can do it. I can visualize it now.

Around a month since release

It's been almost a month since the release of the MBTI Oracle V2.0.0 Now it's at V.2.1.0 A lot's happened since then, but I guess the major breakthrough was figuring out the distribution. If it was sort of blind leap of faith before, now it's a matter of pivoting and iterating until success. It's true that no matter what, there's that 1~10% chance of failure lingering, and I guess that's just something that comes with start ups. But I think with the distribution figured out, the failure rate just went down from 20~30% to less than 5~10%. It's kind of crazy that I worked so hard for so long, with such a high chance of failure. Where would I be now without Sabrina. I got pretty lucky with timing as well. Another MBTI x AI app was in the scene, but just left after 6 months. He sort of paved the way of App distribution within the Tiktok MBTI space. Now I just need to walk the path. It appears that he failed, or had to stop for whatever reason. Maybe it ...
